All Rhapsody Combo members, the combo yearbook picture will be taken 6th hour today in the auditorium. Go straight there at the beginning of the hour, and wear your outfit.
DENTAL HELP
The Oral Health Dental Partnership will be back at East on January 5th and 6th. If you do not have a dentist because you do not have insurance or have Medical Assistance, and you would like to see a dentist, please stop in Student Services and pick up a Dental Care Consent form.
EAST ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB
Do you want to go green and lend a helping hand to the earth, but think it’s a hassle? Well, we have an easy and effortless way for you to do the earth a HUGE favor! Bring in your used or dead batteries into room 205 for them to be recycled! Batteries that are simply thrown away into the garbage produce plenty of harmful chemicals which are then leaked into our ecosystem. By recycling them, you eliminate those harmful chemical! Again, that’s room 205, or Mr. Krieg’s room.
INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL SCHEDULE
The Intramural Basketball schedule for Monday, Dec. 21 is Froelich versus Miller and Cropsey versus Arce at 7:30. The 8:30 games are Poczatek versus Georgia and Stoehr versus Frisbie.
DRUMLINE CHALLENGE
Support your East High Drum line! Part 2 of the drum line challenge with Preble will be here on Jan 19th during half-time of the basketball game. There will be drum line t-shirts for sale after winter break. Look for these shirts to help support your drum line.
PROM THEME
Attention Juniors interested in giving ideas for Prom. We will be meeting Wednesday, Jan. 6th at 3:00 pm in room 231 to discuss a theme. If you cannot attend and still would like your ideas to be heard, give them to Brittany Pyatt or drop them off in room 231 PRIOR to the meeting.
BOOK CLUB
The next two books for book club are ready to be checked out. On January 21, we will be discussing Speak and Twisted. Both contemporary teen novels are authored by Laurie Halse Anderson. You can choose to read one book or both. Stop in the library to check out your copy. If you still have last month’s book When We Were Romans, please return it as soon as possible. Thanks!

Tomorrow, December 22th, is the next “Celebrate Business Education” day. Be sure that your business education class button is visible when you’re in the hallway. If you’re spotted by a business teacher and you have your business class button on you’ll receive a ticket for a drawing to win a free custom embroidered East High School laptop bag. The drawing will take place at 2pm on Tuesday afternoon.
You never know when or where the business teachers will be out searching for buttons. So get in on the fun and wear your button tomorrow.

WRESTLING
This past weekend the Preble-East wrestling team competed in the Willard Schmidt Scramble at Preble high school. The wrestling team took the championship of the 11 team tournament scoring 311.5 points, and defeating the nearest competitor by 100 points. Preble-East had 5 champions, 2 second place finishers, and 3 third place finishers.
Matthew Pennings stayed undefeated on the year and was named the tournament’s most valuable wrestler. Great job guys!
EAST HIGH ORCHESTRA CONCERT
You are all welcome to come to the East Orchestra Concert tonight at 7:00 p.m. The concert features wedding music such as Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring and Pachelbel’s Canon, as well as Corelli’s Christmas Concerto. Admission is $1 or a can of food, to be donated to needy people in the community. Please join us for an evening of beautiful music!
